YOU’RE ALWAYS WELCOME AT
24 HOUR EYECARE
We are here when you need us the most
We realize that our bodies don't always wait until business hours to break. 24 Hour Eyecare is birthed out of a necessity from our patients that needed us on the night before they left for vacation, corneal abrasions that happened on the fourth of July, or nasty eye infections that popped up Saturday night.
WE ARE THE ONLY EMERGENCY EYE CLINIC IN TEXAS!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
$150.00 flat fee
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE
Most urgent care clinics do not take insurances.
WHAT IF I NEED A FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT?
This is case by case, and can be discussed with the doctor at the time of your visit. The doctor will always try and do what is best and most convenient for you. If it can wait until the next business day, we will see you then. If you would like to go back to your primary optometrist we will send over all your records. If you are needing to be seen back and it can't wait until a business day- the doctor will see you at a reduced rate of $50.00 for your follow up. Your follow up appointments during business hours will be in the same building at Allen Eyecare Center, and insurance is accepted.
ARE DIAGNOSTIC TESTS INCLUDED?
Yes! Any diagnostic tests will be included in the $150.00 fee. Any pressure test, auto refractor, Optomap, OCT, or visual fields test.
WHY GO HERE, INSTEAD OF URGENT CARE OR ER?
We have found that many patients go to the ER only to be sent to us afterward. Unfortunately, it is usually after they have spent thousands of dollars and valuable time at the ER. We are a phone call away, and our doctor would advise you to go to the ER if necessary. Our belief is the ER should be utilized in life threatening situations. If you believe that you are in a dire emergency, please go to the ER or call 911.
We also love our friends at urgent care. They are wonderful. However, there are lots of healthcare workers who are undertrained and understaffed to treat acute eye issues. They also do not have the diagnostic tests to identify the issue or the severity. We have state of the art instruments at our finger tips to give you the best care.

*this is a list of the most common examples, if you are unsure, feel free to text or call us, and we can help decided if your situation is emergent.
WHY DO I HAVE TO CALL BEFORE? WHY CAN'T I JUST SHOW UP?
We have an amazing doctor on call ready for you at all times. We do not have a doctor at the clinic 24/7.
We also use the phone call to triage your issues. If you are unsure of the urgency of your eye problem, you and the doctor can decide together based on your pain level, and symptoms.
All the times
We do require you to call before coming in. We have doctors on call, but not at the clinic 24/7. (Hey, they gotta eat too)
Once you speak to the doctor, they will meet you at the office. We are located in Allen Eyecare Center in Allen, Texas.
The doctor will let you in the side entrance, on the left side of the building.
